Phil Jones + Berklee College = Tone 101
Phil Jones Bass and the Berklee College Bass Department have announced that PJB amplification has been implemented in each of the department’s practice studios as well as its performance/recital rooms. Most of the teaching studios will be anchored by PJB’s BG-400 Suitcase Compact Combo with the BG-75 Double 4 and BG-100 Bass Cub rounding out the other spaces.
Steve Bailey Berklee’s Bass Department Chair, the largest and deepest bass department in the world with 21 esteemed faculty that includes bass luminaries such as Victor Wooten, John Patitucci, Susan Hagen, and Oscar Stagnaro. Abraham Laboriel Sr. and Esperanza Spalding are just two of the acclaimed alumni emanating from the bass department. According to Phil Jones, “At PJB we strive for the highest quality and we are delighted for our bass systems to be included by the Berklee Bass Department as we consider it to offer the preeminent educational bass curriculum in the world.”
