Grammy winning bassist, Bakithi Kumalo recently visited a handful of Phil Jones Bass dealers in the Northeastern part of the United States. Kumalo has traveled the globe with Paul Simon for over 30 years, released multiple solo albums, and worked on many studio gigs including sessions with Joan Baez and Herbie Hancock.
Kumalo sat and shared his personal story, along with details about his PJB amps, his signature Xotic Bass, and the LaBella strings that he uses. He left one of the groups with this insight, and an important question…
